Homecoming ’25 – What a Weekend!

CMCC Homecoming ’25 has come and gone – and what an unforgettable weekend it was! Held on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7, this year’s event brought our CMCC community together in record numbers for the best turnout yet.

From inspiring Continuing Education sessions to high-energy social events and a sun-soaked campus BBQ, every moment was filled with connection, celebration, and community spirit.

We were thrilled to welcome back alumni from across the decades, especially our milestone anniversary classes: 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020. Whether it had been five years or 60, your presence helped make this Homecoming truly exceptional.

Highlights from the Weekend:

Continuing Education – 9 CE Hours of Excellence

Over two days, attendees dove into dynamic and thought-provoking sessions led by leading experts in chiropractic and sports health.

  • Friday: Advancing Athletic Performance: Integrative Approaches to Health, Movement, and Injury Management with Dr. Wilbour Kelsick
  • Saturday: Empowering the Female Athlete: Considerations Throughout the Lifespan with Drs. Stephanie Anisko, Cassandra Laleye, Patricia Tavares, and Dominique Forand Yedon

The presentations were engaging, practical, and packed with takeaways. Attendees left feeling energized, informed, and inspired.

Friday Evening Celebration at The Thornhill Club

From the welcome cocktail hour to the final song, Friday night was one to remember. The evening included:

  • A warm welcome from our Board Chair and CMCC President
  • Special tributes to our 50th anniversary class
  • Recognition of our generous Governors Club members
  • Shoutouts to our anniversary classes
  • Alumni Awards presentation
  • Photobooth with all the fun props
  • Class photos in front of the CMCC Wall
  • …and a DJ that kept everyone smiling and dancing!

It was an evening full of laughter, memories, and heartfelt moments shared with old friends and new.

Saturday BBQ Bash at CMCC

We couldn’t have asked for better weather for Saturday’s casual BBQ on campus. Guests enjoyed:

  • Delicious grilled fare – from ribs and chicken, to veggie stacks with all the sides
  • Refreshments provided by the Larry Frey Fund
  • Great conversation and relaxed vibes
  • A chance to connect with CMCC students and tour the evolving campus
  • … and that perfect summer sunshine that made everything even better!

Congratulations to Our 2025 Alumni Award Winners!

We were proud to recognize outstanding individuals who exemplify excellence, leadership, and service in the chiropractic profession. Congratulations to this year’s honourees:

  • Community Service Award – Lalit Sodha, Class of 1990
  • Alum of the Year Award – Annette Bourdon, Class of 1985
  • The Pioneer Award – Lois Eveleigh, Class of 1965
  • Young Alum Award – Riaz Mohammed, Class of 2020

These awards celebrate the legacy of CMCC and the incredible impact our alumni continue to make in their communities and the profession.
