Biography

Dr. Muir completed a Doctor of Chiropractic at CMCC and a Sport Sciences Fellowship at the College of Chiropractic Sport Sciences in Calgary. Prior to attending chiropractic college, Dr. Muir earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. He worked for seven years as a Clinical and Occupational Kinesiologist and Clinic Director with the Sports and Injury Rehabilitation Clinics in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, and the Columbia Rehabilitation Centre in Burlington, Ontario. Dr. Muir earned a diploma in Acupuncture at the Centre for International Holistic Studies in Stony Creek, Ontario. Dr. Muir has been a recipient of the Chiropractic Sciences Award, and the Governor’s Club Corporate Members Award as an undergraduate at Chiropractic college. He is currently the Chair of the Appeals Committee at CCSS and is on the Fellowship Committee for the same organization. In 2006, he was part of the medical staff for the World Championships Dragonboat Club Crew Challenge and prior to this the team Chiropractor for the Windsor Firefighters Combat Challenge Team’s World Championships. At the same time, he was also part of the medical staff for the WTF Tae Kwon Do Association of Canada Carding Games.the University of Toronto Men’s Ice Hockey team, and the Ontario Cup Trampoline Tournament. Dr. Muir maintains a private practice in Pickering and Ajax, Ontario and previously in Orillia, Ontario.

Research Interests

Dr. Muir’s research focuses on concussion, proprioception, and various sports injuries.
