Dr. Kempt-Sutherland has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mount Allison University and graduated from CMCC with a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2004. She is founder and co-owner of Choice Health Centres, the largest privately-owned, clinician-owned company of multi-disciplinary clinics in Atlantic Canada. Erin was exposed to chiropractic from a young age as a competitive gymnast and pursued a career in chiropractic, to help others express their greatest health potential. Erin was honoured to receive the Progress Women of Excellence Award in the category of Health, Sport & Wellness in 2014. In 2020 she won the RBC Women of Influence Canadian Women Entrepreneurial Award in the Momentum category for Eastern Canada. Erin has held science-related teaching positions at various massage therapy colleges. She has served as Member at Large, Treasurer and Vice President of Chiropractors Nova Scotia, held local business-related board positions, and has represented Nova Scotia on the Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative (CCGI).
