Dr. Erwin is an assistant professor within the divisions of neurological and orthopaedic surgery (appointed 2004) at the University of Toronto and is an associate professor (research) with the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. His research primarily focuses on degenerative disc disease and the development of novel molecular therapeutics for treating this condition.
Dr. Erwin has published 44 peer-reviewed publications including two “Nature Group Publications”. He has also reviewed manuscripts for over 70 scientific journals. He is a committee member with the North American Spine Society section on Biologics for over a decade, and member of the Orthopaedic Research Organization, and International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS)).
